“A portrait of my child, once a week, every week, in 2013.”

Chick’s dig scars
This week we received a call from Bub’s Montessori day care: he had tripped and fallen onto a concrete planter and was being taken to the medical centre to treat the cut on his forehead. He’d really given himself a doozie of a dent and it had to be glued back together.

Funnily enough, when I got the call I was in a meeting with a new client and had only just finished telling them of my dare-devil toddler and how he was so like me at that age (I had a very big file at Camperdown Children’s Hospital thanks to being an accident prone wild child). QED.

Here is the adventurer at our friend’s BBQ, watering their plants and chasing the big girls.

  • This is adorable! A & Poet should meet up, she currently has a black eye (not her first!). The things she does to my nerves! x

  • We were just there a few weeks ago! Same spot on the forehead, too. A trip to the ER and a concussion later, we are all keeping a very safe distance from cabinet corners. 🙂

  • He’s got a battle scar and can live to tell about it. He’ll be an awesome storyteller.

  • love this pic, our youngest has already had two sets of stitches..thats 2 more then the other 3 combined. Bio Oil is great for healing up scars

  • Oh those braces are just too cute. And the scar, oh my, the things children get up to!!!
I love that i’ve found your blog, I’m joining in with Jodi’s 52 project too.
    xx Katrina

  • Oh my gosh, he is absolutely irresistible!
We’ve luckily avoided emergency trips to the hospital so far, but my boys tend to be filled with bruises too.
