Bedtime
We bought a new bed for Bub – a big boy bed. It’s a little overwhelming for me as he is only 19.5 months old but it was our last resort to try to encourage him to sleep in his own bed for the entire night. He was getting so big for his cot he would bump and crash around and by 12pm would wake up and refuse to go back to sleep in it, so would join us in our bed where cuddles and a larger bed would lull him off to slumber quick smart.
He still wakes a few times a night, which means I haven’t had a full night’s sleep in almost two years – fun!
When he woke last night in his new big boy bed, I climbed in with his milk bottle, gave him a cuddle and off he went back to sleep (then I ninja climbed out the bed back into my own). He slept happily in his own bed ALL night and this morning lovingly tucked his toys into bed. I think we’re on to a winner.
